Moray Leisure Centre has ideal swimming facilities for all the family.
Whether it’s for fun swimming, fitness training or relaxation there will be something for everyone. As well as providing excellent swimming facilities for all ages, we have an extensive training programme and activities to cater for all abilities – taught by qualified staff.
How to Book
You can turn up on the day for most swim sessions, but there is the option for lane swimming and other popular sessions like parents and tots, to pre book. You can do this by calling reception on 01343 550033 or online here.
Lockers are provided. Please note, a 50p piece is required.

Fit Life Membership
All swimming activities are included in your Fit Life membership.
Fit Life is a highly successful membership scheme that Moray Leisure Centre is part of. You pay one monthly direct debit, and receive a membership card you can use at leisure centres throughout Moray, and beyond!
Admissions Policy
Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult of at least 16 years of age whilst using the pool. There is a maximum of 2 under 8’s to one adult at all times and children under 5 should ideally be accompanied on a one-to-one basis, regardless of swimming ability.
Please note, during busy times, public sessions may be subject to a maximum of one hour.
Crocodile Flume
⚠️ Unfortunately, our crocodile flume isn’t open at this time as it’s waiting for a repair.
Open during School and local holidays.
Please note that on occasions, due to staff shortages and circumstances out with our control, we may be unable to operate the crocodile flume.
To avoid any disappointment, we strongly advise customers, particularly those travelling to the Centre, to telephone our Main Reception on Tel: (01343) 550033 prior to their journey to confirm whether or not the flume will be available.
Lifeguard Information
RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) courses are held at Moray Leisure Centre, and consist of an intense training programme which leads to an assessment.
Please note that all NPLQ participants must be over 16 years of age and must be a relatively strong swimmer.
Aqua Run
Experience the excitement of play challenges, races and fun on the water with our Aqua Run sessions – an exciting, inflatable obstacle course that is laid out in the main pool. Children must be 8 years and over and a confident swimmer to take part. You can book your child onto an Aqua Run session via our online booking system, or the Moray Leisure Centre App.

Pool Hire
Make a splash with our pool hire services! Whether you’re looking for a leisurely swim or a competitive race, we’ve got you covered. Our full pool hire option is perfect for those who want exclusive access to the entire pool, while our lane hire option allows you to rent out a specific lane for your own use.
If you’re planning a special event, our gala hire option is the ideal choice. This option gives you exclusive use of the entire pool and any additional facilities you may need to make your event a success.
If you’re seeking a more exciting and enjoyable experience, our aqua run parties offer the perfect solution. These parties feature pool hire with the inflatable aqua run, which is guaranteed to add an extra element of fun and excitement to your special occasion.

Parents & Tots sessions
Enjoy swimming with your young children in a safe and fun environment! We offer a special session called ‘Parents and Tots’ in the learner pool on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 2pm. This session is specifically designed for families with children aged 5 and under.
During the session, you and your little ones can swim in the shallow end of the learner pool, ensuring a secure space for young children. To ensure safety and a great experience, we limit each session to a maximum of 4 families. This allows us to cater to the specific needs and abilities of young swimmers.
To make it convenient for you, we have made the session bookable online. Only the ‘lead’ family member needs to make the booking on behalf of the whole family. Booking in advance is recommended as there is high demand for these sessions. Please note that to participate in this session, your group must have a child aged 5 and under.
