What is FitLife?
Fit Life is an incredible value-for-money membership scheme available at Moray Leisure Centre. For one affordable monthly direct debit, you’ll get unlimited access to a huge range of activities – and not just at MLC, but at leisure centres across Moray and regionally through the LeisureLink partnership.
How do I join FitLife?
You can join online here or complete a membership form in-person at reception. Our team can help you find the right membership.
Do you offer family memberships?
Yes. We offer a range of membership options including individual and family memberships.
Do you offer concession or discounted memberships?
At present, we don’t offer specific discounted membership rates – FitLife has been designed to provide great value for regular use of our facilities.
Do you offer military discount on memberships?
At present, we don’t offer specific military discounted membership rates – FitLife has been designed to provide great value for regular use of our facilities..
How does a family membership work?
Family memberships include up to 2 adults over 18 and any number of children living at the same address. Proof of address may be requested.
What membership payment options are available?
Members can pay annually or by monthly Direct Debit. Monthly payments are taken for a minimum of one month after joining.
How many Children can I have on my account ?
There is no limit to the number of children you can link to your Primary membership account. If you need assistance adding or managing linked accounts, our team will be happy to help.
Where else can I use my FitLife Membership?
With your Fit Life membership, you gain occasional access to swimming pools, gyms and fitness classes across Orkney, High Life Highland, Western Isles, Argyll and Bute, Moray/Moray Leisure Centre, Sport Aberdeen, MORE4life and LiveBorders. This is delivered through the LeisureLink partnership.
You can use your existing card issued by Moray Leisure Centre. Please do not forget your card as you will be unable to gain access without it!
Can I try the gym before joining?
Yes – you have two options:
Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG):
You can purchase a PAYG session to try the gym and see if it’s right for you.
Book a Tour:
We’re happy to show you around the gym and facilities.
Please note: tours do not include free use of the gym or other facilities.
Can I use the facilities as soon as I join?
Yes – once you’ve joined, you can start using the facilities straight away.
Do you cater to people with disabilities?
Absolutely! Moray Leisure Centre is committed to being accessible for everyone. Our facilities include:
Step-free access from the car park via a ramp
Lifts and accessible entrances throughout the building
Motomed assisted gym equipment for members with limited mobility
Radar key accessible toilets and changing areas
Pool hoist access to help members safely enter and exit the pool
Our friendly staff are always happy to provide guidance or support. If you have specific requirements or would like a tour of our facilities, please contact us in advance so we can help you make the most of your visit.
Getting Started
Do I need to show my membership card every time I visit?
Yes. Members must show their card at Reception for every visit. Not showing your card may result in being charged the full entry price.
How can I book an activity?
You can log into your online account here or download the MLC app on your phone.
What is ‘Member ID’ when signing in online?
Member ID is the unique number linked to your account and must be used when logging into the home portal online (bookings)
What is the difference between 'Card ID' and 'Member ID'?
Card ID is your MC number on the bottom of your physical membership card, and Member ID is the number linked to your account.
How do I download the Moray Leisure Centre app?
You can download the MLC app for free from your usual app store:

Once downloaded, simply create an account or log in to:
Book classes and activities
Access the Go Learn lessons portal

What do I need to before using the gym?
All gym users must have completed an induction OR a PAR-Q form (health questionnaire), for confident regular gym users.
Can I share my membership card with others?
No. Membership cards are non-transferable. Misuse may result in cancellation without refund.
We don’t live together, can we still join as a family membership?
No, all members on a family membership must reside at the same address.
Please note that proof of address may be requested,
Are lockers included?
Lockers are available throughout the building, but they are not included as part of your membership.
You can access them using either a 50p coin or a £1 coin, depending on the area of the centre – locker types vary across the building.
Please note: Items are left in lockers at the owner’s risk.
Is parking included?
Yes – we offer free parking at Moray Leisure Centre.
Please respect parking spaces, traffic flow, and speed limits for everyone’s safety.

Facilities, Classes & Activities
Why can't I book the gym or classes?
You may see a booking block if:
- You haven’t completed a gym induction
- Your PAR-Q is incomplete or missing from your account
- There is an issue with your membership account

How do I complete my PAR-Q or induction?
Speak to Reception directly who can book your induction or help you to complete a PAR-Q from quickly.
Do I need to book gym sessions?
Generally there is no requirement to book ahead for the gym.
For teen gym access this can be booked in advance and permits X number of users per session.
Do classes require a PAR-Q or induction?
Gym based classes require an induction or completed PAR-Q form.
What should I do if I lose my membership card or band?
We can issue a replacement for a small fee (£1.50) or you can download the MLC app and use the digital card within it.
Who do I contact for help?
Our Reception team is always happy to assist with membership, bookings, and general enquiries.
What if the facility is partially closed for maintenance or events?
Advance notice: We update our website and social media with any planned closures.
Short notice: If your booking is affected, we will contact you directly via email or phone to keep you informed.
Do you offer personal training sessions?
Yes – but spaces are limited!
Our Personal Trainers work on a limited-capacity basis to ensure you get tailored support and the best possible experience.

Do I need to book classes & activities?
It depends on the activity:
Gym: No booking required – just turn up and start your workout.
Classes: Many classes are very popular and require advance booking to secure your place.
Special sessions (e.g., Aqua Run): Booking in advance is recommended, or arrive early to avoid disappointment.
Pool: No booking required for public swim sessions or lane swimming – just turn up and enjoy your swim.
You can book classes and special sessions online or via the MLC app or at reception.
What is a PAR-Q and why do I need it?
A PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) is a short questionnaire that helps us understand your current health and fitness status before you start exercising.
It’s designed to:
Identify any medical conditions or risk factors
Ensure you can exercise safely
Help our team tailor workouts to your needs
Completing a PAR-Q is mandatory for all new members before using the gym or joining gym based classes.
Membership Management
How do I update my personal or payment details?
Visit Reception or contact our team to make updates.
Can I change my membership type?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your membership at any time.
Can I freeze my membership?
No, we don’t offer membership freezes. If you need a break, you can cancel your membership and rejoin at any time. Your new membership will be active as soon as you sign up again, giving you full access to all facilities and classes.
What happens when my child turns 18 on my two adult account?
A family membership can include up to two adults over 18. When your child turns 18, you can either:
Move them to an individual membership, or
Remove one of the other adults on the family membership to keep them included.
Our team can assist with making this change.
How do I cancel my FitLife membership?
Members can cancel by completing a Cancellation Form at Reception or via email. Telephone or verbal cancellations are not accepted.
Should I cancel my Direct Debit with the bank?
No. Cancelling your Direct Debit does not cancel your membership. Always contact us first.
Can I rejoin after cancelling?
Yes, you’re welcome back anytime.
