Exciting Gym and Studio Improvements Coming to Moray Leisure Centre

We’re excited to announce a major refurbishment of the gym and studio equipment at Moray Leisure Centre, bringing new equipment, more training options and an even better fitness experience for our members and the wider community.

Following the success of our new Reformer facility, we’re continuing to reinvest in our fitness facilities and look at new ways to give you more choice when it comes to staying active.

A refreshed gym with more ways to train

As part of the refurbishment, our existing gym equipment will receive a full upgrade, with the introduction of brand-new Magnum Fitness Equipment.

Magnum has a strong reputation within the fitness industry, with durable, commercial-grade equipment designed to support effective workouts in busy gym environments.

We’ll also be introducing a number of exciting new pieces of equipment, including:

  • Upper Body Cycle

  • Hack Squat

  • Glute Trainer

  • High Row

  • Pendulum Squat

  • 8-Stack Multi-Station

These additions, as well as others, will give you even more ways to train, whether you’re looking to build strength, improve your fitness, try something new or work towards your own personal goals.

Improvements to our studios too

The refurbishment isn’t limited to the gym. We’re also reinvesting in new equipment for our studios, helping to enhance the experience for everyone who takes part in our group exercise programme.

With around 250 classes taking place every week, our group exercise programme offers plenty of opportunities to get active, try different types of exercise and enjoy being part of a group.

New additions will include a dedicated Studio Dumbbell Rack and Group X Plate and Bar Rack, supporting our popular weight-based group exercise classes.

When will the work take place?

To allow the refurbishment to be completed, the gym will close for five days in December.

We’ll confirm the exact dates as soon as they’re finalised and will keep members and the wider community updated with everything you need to know ahead of the closure.

Reinvesting in your fitness experience

We know how important our facilities are to the local community, and this reinvestment is another step in making sure Moray Leisure Centre continues to offer a welcoming, high-quality place for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy being active.

Our Chief Executive Officer, Ryan Kamaris, said:

“We are excited to share this news with our members and the wider community. Moray Leisure Centre is committed to making fitness accessible to people of all ages and abilities, and this reinvestment is another positive step in ensuring we can continue to offer a welcoming, high-quality fitness experience for everyone.

“Our facilities are incredibly well-used by the community, and we’re proud to keep reinvesting in spaces that support physical, mental and social wellbeing. By refreshing our gym and studio equipment and introducing even more training opportunities, we’re helping our members and people across Moray enjoy the benefits of exercise for years to come.”

We can’t wait to show you the refreshed gym and enhanced studio facilities.

More choice, more ways to train and even more opportunities to enjoy being active at Moray Leisure Centre.
